Lhasa Spice Latte


  • 1 Tbsp cane sugar
  • 2 Tbsp Lhasa Spice Tsampa
  • a small dash of vanilla extract
  • 1 Cup whole milk
  • 3 Tbsp whipped cream
  • 1 pinch of ground cardamon

Combine the sugar, Lhasa Spice Tsampa, and vanilla in a small pot stirring until well blended together. Stir in enough of the milk to combine into a smooth paste. Whisk in the rest of the milk until combined. Let mixture cook until steam begins to come off the top of the milk and bubbles form at the edge of the pot, about 2 more min. Remove from heat.

Brew an espresso shot into a mug. Pour in milk mixture. Top with whipped cream and sprinkle with cinnamon.

Variation: Lhasa Spice Tea Latte Once all milk has been added, add a teabag of your favourite black tea and let steep while the milk heats.
